Wow it’s been a long time since I found myself writing a blog post…sorry to leave you all hanging. Over the past 6 months, can’t believe it’s been that long, yet is also feels like no time at all sometimes, a lot has happened. I moved back to the states the end of August to Florida to stay with my sister. During that time I became an aunt and got to help take care of my nephew for a couple months. The end of October I traveled to Kenya and Cape town for a total of 5 weeks and got to experience a part of the world I have always wanted to visit. I met some incredible people there, including my friend Faith’s family. One of the most meaningful things while I was there was getting to be a part of a life changing project with Kenya Connect. That’s a whole blog itself!
So fast forward past Christmas and the New Year. I began wondering where this year would take me, literally, like what country. I was praying and open to serving wherever God wanted me. Of course I wanted to go back to Guatemala, but needed to make sure it wasn’t my desire and that was where He was continuing to call me. It’s definitely been a process and lots of patience and waiting. But spoiler alert, since I’m sitting her typing this in Guatemala I can tell you this is where He has called me back to. But that’s all I know at this point. I continue to be in a place of the unknown and am learning to embrace that. I know He wants me here and that’s enough. My hope is to continue Spanish School and visit some ministries. Beyond that only He knows.
So on my third night here, when it is easy to feel vulnerable or lonely I am comforted in knowing this is exactly where I am supposed to be.
